Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Mewmori, the vocabulary app for iPhone and iPad made by Tesserly, and the optional Mewmori Pro subscription. By downloading or using Mewmori you agree to them. Apple's Standard EULA applies as well. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Mewmori is

Mewmori is a personal vocabulary tool. You save words and phrases, the app can fill in translations and learner notes with artificial intelligence, and it helps you remember them with spaced repetition, study games and card duels. No account is needed.

2. AI-generated content

Translations, transcriptions, notes and other suggestions are produced by an AI model. They are usually right but may contain mistakes. They are provided "as is" for learning; always double-check anything important.

3. Free and Pro

  • Free: unlimited words with your own translation, the basic games, spaced repetition, 5 AI translations in total, one duel with the cat and one room of your own a day, and one free try of each Pro game.
  • Mewmori Pro: 200 AI translations a month, every game and unlimited duels. The exact features are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly, bought with your Apple ID. Prices are shown in the App Store before you pay, and payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules.

4. Online duels

In a duel you play with a friend you invite by a room code. Only game moves, the words on the cards, rank points and the app's own emotes pass between you; there is no chat. Ranks are a game score, kept on your devices, with no prize or value outside the app. Please play fair: do not try to cheat, disrupt other players' games or abuse room codes.

5. The daily box, collection and shards

Reaching your daily goal opens a box with emotes or card skins; repeats turn into shards that can be spent on other items in the collection. Boxes, items and shards are part of the game: they have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and we may change how they work, what they contain and the odds. On the free plan you may choose to watch a short ad to get an extra box; ads are never required.

6. Fair use

Please do not abuse, overload, probe, scrape or try to reverse-engineer the app or its servers, work around its limits, or use it to send unlawful or harmful content. We may limit or block requests that look like abuse.

7. Your content and ours

The words and texts you enter are yours. The app, its cat, art, games, word packs, design and name belong to Tesserly and may not be copied or redistributed. We may update, change or discontinue features, including free limits, to keep the service running; we will not remove a paid feature without a reasonable alternative.

8. Disclaimer and liability

Mewmori is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, data loss caused by things outside our control, or decisions based on AI-generated content. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. The current version is always published here with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
